South Simcoe Police saw a record-breaking 3,069 calls for service in March, a sharp increase from the previous year.
Deputy Chief Sheryl Sutton told the police board that landlord-tenant disputes remain a growing issue, with cases up 70% from last year.
March also brought a rise in stolen vehicles and collisions, partly due to a severe ice storm that overwhelmed emergency services.
Despite challenges, police efforts helped reduce thefts from vehicles and minor thefts compared to last year.
