Here’s what was covered:
Town Staff provided a report on Council remuneration and expenses for 2024, as required by the Municipal Act, and shared letters from local conservation authorities regarding per diems for their members.
Council also reviewed a report recommending enhancements to the Procurement By-Law, focusing on adapting “Buy Canadian” and “Buy Ontario” policies to address trade issues with the U.S.
Other key topics included an update on the ward boundary review, the appointment of an additional Municipal Weed Inspector, and the selection of a nominee for the 2025 Ontario Senior of the Year Award.
Council also approved a Tri-party Easement Agreement between the Town, Stevenson Memorial Hospital, and Alectra Utilities Corporation.
Finally, an update on the Town Hall construction project was presented, marking progress on the new facility.
