Centre ice for the Alliston Hornets
The Alliston Hornets didn’t get a win on Monday afternoon!
For just the second time this season, the Hornets would end up on the losing end of the box score when they took on the Stayner Siskins at home at the New Tecumseth Rec Centre.
The game would scoreless until the third period, where Alliston’s Tristen Pitt would net his 25th of the season. With less than eight minutes to go, the Siskins would tie things up. That would send it to extra time, where Stayner would pull off the upset win in the shootout.
Seth Ronan was the netminder for the Hornets. He stopped 23 of 24 shots, giving him a .958% save percentage.
Both Alliston losses this season have been outside of regulation.
The Hornets now head to Muskoka to take on the Bears on Wednesday, February 19th. Puck drop will happen after 8:30 p.m.
They return home on Friday, February 21st to host the Muskoka Bears. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. Ticket information can be found here.
