The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has received funding through the Ontario Fire Protection Grant.
The Fire and Emergency Services team has received just over $8,200.
The money will go toward purchasing personal protective clothing and equipment aimed at improving fire safety.
The Fire Protection Grant, is part of the government’s commitment to cancer prevention and minor infrastructure modernization for fire services.
The grant will specifically support cancer prevention initiatives and the acquisition of personal protective equipment, both of which are critical in safeguarding the health and safety of firefighters.
