Blaine Parkin has been named the new CAO and Clerk for Elgin County.
He’s expected to serve in his current role with the Town of New Tecumseth until Sunday, December 31st. Parkin will begin his new role on Monday, January 1st, 2024.
The search for Parkin’s replacement continues for the Town of New Tecumseth.

The Town of New Tecumseth will be looking for a new CAO come the new year.
Chief Administrative Officer Blaine Parkin has resigned from the position.
Parkin has been the CAO for the Town since July 2017.
Prior to taking on the top job on a permanent basis, he acted as Interim CAO for four months.
Parkin originally joined the Town of New Tecumseth in 2015….following the retirement of the former CAO.
Terri Caron served as the town’s CAO for over 12 years, retiring in 2014, and former deputy CAO Brendan Holly was appointed as the town’s new CAO,
According to a statement released by the Town, Parkin will continue in his role until December 31st.
