The selection features over 50 books that have been challenged, censored, or physically removed from a public library or school in North America.
Initially launched by the Chicago Public Library last year, The Book Sanctuary, aims to raise awareness regarding freedom of information and highlight the importance of preserving
diverse voices and perspectives.
The collection includes fiction, non-fiction, picture books, and graphic novels, allowing individuals to explore and learn about a variety of topics, even controversial or unpopular ones.
