Starting today (aug 3) Simcoe County households will start to receive their new waste collection carts.
The new automated cart system begins November 1 and the County needs you to not use the carts before
Wilma Bureau, Collections Manager with County, say the receptacles will come with instructions
Bureau adds convenience is just one of the reasons for the change.
Bureau says there is a specific way to leave the black, blue and green bins and the end of your driveway.
She says there are arrows on the lids pointing in which direction they should face the road.
The carts will start be distributed in South Simcoe in the coming weeks.
Be patient as the County has about 450,000 of these new waste collection carts to deliver
