Seniors at Kingsmere Retirement Residence in Alliston released a couple Monarch butterflies recently who then started their annual migration to Mexico.
Laura Menard is the Lifestyle Consultant at Kingsmere.
She says they plan on continuing the project and right now they have three Swallowtail Caterpillars, which they anticipate will come out of their chrysalises sometime this fall.
The Monarch butterfly are on the endangered species list.
