The 27th annual McHappy Day will not be going ahead at area McDonald’s Restaurants as planned this year.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the company’s longest national fundraising event to a halt.
Owner of the Alliston and Angus McDonald’s Rory MacKinnon says McHappy Day will be back, he is just not sure when.
McKinnon says every year McHappy Day donates 50-percent of the funds raised to the Ronald McDonald House at Sick Kids Hospital, while the other half is donated to local charities.
