Police are advising residents to be aware of Porch Pirates in the area.
This after an Alliston resident had a package stolen off his front steps, shortly after being delivered.
Nottawasaga OPP say the resident placed an order online and received a notification that his parcel had arrived.
However, it was not there when he got home.
A quick review of his home security system proved the article was indeed dropped off but then picked up shortly afterwards by a stranger.
The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build, wearing a camouflage jacket, grey cargo pants, dark work boots and he was carrying a plastic bag.
Police say if you are expecting a delivery, take steps to include special delivery options that can include a location where there will be a person to pick it up…such as your
workplace, your neighbours or have them left in a location other than the front door.
Police ask if you recognize this person that you contact them or Crime Stoppers.
