An ad campaign about human trafficking will ends Tuesday (jul 30) with a celebration at ONroutes across Ontario.
“Project ONroute” media awareness initiative designed around human trafficking.
There will be gatherings at all 12 ONroutes this morning at 9:20am, including the SB 400 in Innisfil, where dignitaries and Ontario residents as part of a community education strategy to end human trafficking
Kelly Franklin is the Project lead and founder of Courage For Freedom.
She says the campaign stemmed from a 16 year old human trafficking survivor who was tired of how advertisements portray human trafficking.
Franklin says an ad has been running on media screens in ONroutes, bringing awareness to the issue with the potential to reach 16.5 billion views throughout the province.
