A freezing rain warning has been issued for New Tecumseth, as two rainstorms move into Ontario this weekend.
Environment and Climate Change Canada is predicting freezing rain with possible ice accumulation of 5 to 10 millimetres, which could lead to power outages and hazardous, slippery conditions through to Sunday morning.
Areas with higher terrain, like New Tecumseth, may experience longer periods of freezing rain.
Residents are advised to avoid non-essential travel due to icy and hazardous conditions.
