Centre ice for the Alliston Hornets
The Alliston Hornets might have found their match with the Orillia Terriers.
Heading into game three, the Hornets were looking to take their first lead in the series after falling behind in the first game, and clawing back tie the series in game two.
Orillia was the first to score in Monday’s game, and they’d actually pull ahead 2-0 after two periods of play.
The Hornets then got some offence from David Harvey in the third period, assisted by Noah Cochrane and Cam Lamont. Two minutes later, Alliston would tie the game up when Cole Turcotte found the back of the net, assisted by Jaeden French. The Terriers would then take back the lead in the second half of the final frame, and score an empty netter for some insurance. Orillia beat Alliston 4-2.
Seth Ronan was in net for the Hornets. He stopped 41 of 44 shots, giving him the .931% save percentage in a losing effort.
Game four is set for Wednesday, March 26th. Puck drop will be just after 7:30 p.m. at the West Orillia Sports Complex.
