The Alliston Hornets continue to dominate in the PJHL postseason.
On Friday, March 14th, the Hornets went to Penetang to take on the Kings in game four of the second round series. Alliston was up 3-0 in the series ahead of this match-up.
Duncan Grube opened the scoring for the Hornets in the first period. That was quickly followed up by a paired of goals from Cam Lamont. The Hornets were up 3-0 after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, Jax Bellwood would add a pair of goals for Alliston. Penetang managed to get two of their own to keep it close. It was 5-2 Alliston heading into the final frame.
The Kings were unable to find the back of the net in the third period, and Cole Turcotte would bury the dagger late. Alliston beat Penetang 6-2 to clinch the 4-0 series sweep.
Alliston will now head to the third round of the PJHL playoffs. Their match-up hasn’t been officially announced. We’ll keep you updated when we know more.
