A 30-year-old Essa Township resident has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in New Tecumseth on Tuesday.
Around 8:30 p.m., Nottawasaga OPP officers observed a dark vehicle swerving and driving erratically on Victoria Street East in Alliston.
The driver was also seen attempting to turn left on a red light.
Officers detected a strong odor of alcohol and observed the driver struggling to stay steady on his feet.
He was charged with impaired driving and faces a 90-day license suspension.
