The service helps with transportation to medical appointments, grocery trips, and other essential services.
To qualify, applicants must be a resident of New Tecumseth, 65 years or older, or have special mobility requirements.
Eligible trips include medical visits (Mon-Fri, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.), grocery trips, and weekly visits to the 54 Plus Seniors Centre. Other approved destinations include Matthews House Hospice, Community Living Associations (CLASS), and the Children’s Treatment Network.
Registration forms are available for download or at the Town Administration Centre (24 Tupper St. W., Alliston).
Once completed, submit the form to the Administration Centre for approval.
Approved members will receive an identification card, which must be shown to the taxi driver.
The program charges $3.00 each way for local trips and $5.00 for trips between communities.
