Base Borden is about to become home to some new CT-155 Hawk aircraft… new to them.
After reaching the end of their service life, the jets were recently retired as Royal Canadian Air Force pilot trainers.
They will become maintenance trainers at the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology and Engineering in 16 Wing Borden.
The jets have taken off from 4 Wing Cold Lake in Alberta and make stops at 15 Wing Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan before heading to Ontario.
The Hawks will stop for fuel in Winnipeg and Thunder Bay, they are expected to arrive at the Collingwood airport by March 31.
They will be moved by road to Base Borden at a later date.
