Two people are facing charges following a towing investigation out of Vaughan.
York Regional Police began looking into a company named “A Better Way Towing” after receiving numerous complaints that vehicles had been towed from a plaza parking lot in the
area of Jane Street and Avro Road between May and August of this year.
Investigators discovered the towning company owner and an employee were removing vehicles under the direction of plaza property management.
The vehicle owners were charged a fee for the towing and storage of their vehicle when that should have been covered by the property manager.
As many as 73 people had their vehicles towed… Which allowed the towing company to collect roughly $38,000.
2 males from Vaughan are facing Fraud charges.
