Following reports of discolored water in the Rolling Hills area,
The Town of Orangeville discovered that the filtration media for Well 10, was not removing iron and manganese as well as it should.
Well 10 provides 11% of the Town’s water supply, and has since been removed from service.
These minerals do not pose a risk to human health, and rigorous water testing indicates water throughout the Town is safe for consumption.
The filtration media is being replaced, although the process could take up to a year.
During this time, the town is asking residents to be mindful of their water use.
