
Walmart is taking part in a toy recycling program that lets you get rid of items that are past their prime playing days.
They are collecting items in marked boxes set up by TerraCycle. .
The toys will then be cleaned, separated by materials and recycled into their raw formats.
Those products will then be sent to processing plants where they will be turned into new products.
Some of the new items include patio furniture, gardening supplies, flooring tiles and playground surface material.
The Alliston location is taking part in the program for the first time.
The collections bins will be available until the end of December (dec31)
Not accepted – Electronic and battery-operated items, plush toys and wooden blocks.
