Beginning this week, Orangeville streets with mature boulevard trees will see a vacuum truck collecting leaves.
This collection runs for approximately four weeks and is weather dependent.
Here are some things to remember:
– Leaf collection areas are determined by Orangeville Public Works
– Rake leaves from boulevard trees ONLY onto the curb – leaves from trees on your property should not be deposited at the curb.
– Do NOT rake leaves onto the road.
– Whenever possible, reduce road parking to help collection crews access leaves.
– Any piles of leaves that include debris and branches will not be collected.
– All other yard waste (including leaves from your property, branches, and brush) can be put in bags, bundled and labelled containers. These will be collected during the County’s regular bi-weekly waste program, which runs until the end of November.
Collection schedule:
– North of Broadway – First and third week of the month
– South of Broadway – Second and fourth week of the month
