The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office has been called in to investigate a fatal fire in Innisfil.
Innisfil Fire and Rescue and South Simcoe Police responded to a house fire on 2nd Line near Dempsey Street around 9 Wednesday morning (feb17).
The building was fully engulfed in flames when emergency responders arrived.
Once the flames had been extinguished a body was located inside the structure.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Police have indicated they will not be releasing any further information until a postmortem exam is conducted.
