As of closing time Monday (mar 16) night, Town facilities in New Tecumseth is closed to the public.
Libraries, Rec Centre, the Museum and now the Town’s Administration Centre in Alliston and Joint Operations Centre in Beeton are now shuttered to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Mayor Rick Milne says staff members will still be working behind the scenes to keep the town functioning.
Mayor Milne says the towns online service is still available for use by residents.
Monday night’s council meeting was likely the last one for the time being.
It was held in an empty council chambers.
Milne says a decision regarding further public meetings will be made this week.
