In our continuing series of year end interviews, myFM had a chance to chat to Stevenson Memorial Hospital President and CEO Jody Levac.
With the proposed redevelopment and the government announcement of replacing Local Health Integration Networks with Ontario Health Team is has been an eventful year at the Alliston hospital.
Jody Levac says while all that is going on they have made significant change to the building and services.
He give a good deal of the credit for the improvement to the community.
Levac says they put in a lot of hard work towards securing necessary funding to the Alliston hospitals long awaited redevelopment
He also has an eye on the future with a major addition to local patient care
One change they are dealing with is replacing Local Health Integration Networks with an Ontario Health Team.
Levac added Base Borden is also part of their futures health plans
Jody Levac tells us a new Level 2 ICU is something they bring it to fruition in the coming months.

Levac says big things are coming in 2020 and he is confident of a major redevelopment announcement in January.
2019 also saw the launch of the hospital foundation’s $43 million “Because of You, We Can” capital campaign geared to help fund the redevelopment of Stevenson Memorial Hospital.
